In a Press briefing by Adar Poonawalla, CEO, Serum Insititute of India has said “Vaccine will be distributed initially in India, then we will look at the COVAX countries which are mainly in Africa. The UK & European markets are being taken care of by AstraZeneca & Oxford. Our priority is India & COVAX countries.”
On emergency license for manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccine COVISHIELD, he said “We are in the process of applying for emergency use authorization of Covishield in the next two weeks.”
