Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan virtually inaugurates Super Speciality Block of Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj as a dedicated COVID Hospital

Union Minister of Health and Family Dr.Harsh Vardhan along with Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, digitally inaugurated the Super Speciality Block (SSB) which is built with an investment of Rs 150 crores under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) at Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj. The 220-bedded facility has been dedicated as a COVID Hospital (DCH). The Union Health Minister also digitally inaugurated the first high throughput COBAS 6800 machine in Uttar Pradesh, installed by ICMR to pursue its regionally balanced COVID Testing strategy.  

The Super Speciality Block has 233 Super Speciality Beded hospital with 52 ICU Beds,13 dialysis beds nad 7 OT’s.The Super speciality hospital has departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Urology, Plastic surgery, Endocrinology, Surgical Oncology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
