Telangana Medical Fraternity witnessed a proud moment when the current Chair of the Department of Medicine at Banner Thunderbird Medical Centre, Glendale (Arizona) Dr. Shiva Kumar Ghosi got appointed as the member of Arizona Medical Board by the Governor’s Office.
Dr.Ghosi completed his degree of MBBS from Gandhi Medical college, Secunderabad in 2007 and went to the USA for further studies. There he pursued MPH and MD from East Tennessee State University and had been working as a Hospitalist since 2013.
As per the latest media report by Telangana Today, Douglas A Ducey, the Governor of Arizona, had mentioned in the appointment letter of Dr. Gosi, “On behalf of The State of Arizona, thank you for agreeing to be appointed to the Arizona Medical Board. One of the satisfactions of holding the office is the opportunity to recognize outstanding citizens by naming them to positions of leadership within our state government”. Ghosi was enthusiastically involved in multiple projects and key committees in his hospital. He is engaged with the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB’s) work group on physician impairment
