Parl committee favors Indian Medical Services (IMS) in health sector

The Parliamentary panel has appreciated the role of Corona warriors in combating Covid-19 and long – pending demand of forming Indian Medical Services (IMS) has also got flagship during committee meeting. The recent Parliament Committee has expressed its views in favor of exploring the possibilities of setting up and creation of Indian Medical Services (IMS) on the lines of All India Civil Services such as IAS and IPS that can make major change in the healthcare system and sector in country.

The Parliamentary panel’s views in its report submitted recently are in consonance to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Federation of resident doctors association (FORDA) to bring about a drastic change in the healthcare sector.
