China had role in spread of four pandemics: Report

According to a New York Post story, China has been concealing up illnesses within the country for a long time and has contributed to the spread of four pandemics throughout the world.

In 1957, an outbreak of the fatal Asian flu was recorded in some places of Singapore and Hong Kong, but it eventually spread around the world. Although China did not have a part in the genesis of this lethal influenza, the nation did play a role in its spread, according to the journal.

The outbreak was initially recorded in China’s Guizhou province in early 1957, and it eventually expanded to other regions of the nation.

Despite claiming tens of thousands of deaths, officials kept the outbreak secret.

Infected people travelled from China to Hong Kong and Singapore, causing the flu to spread internationally and kill almost one million people in two years.

In 1968, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce reported on the Hong Kong flu. Members of the chamber were aware that an epidemic was growing in China, but the Chinese government did not inform the rest of the world, allowing it to spread internationally and kill another million people.

In 2002, the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) outbreak came out. Patient Zero was a snake vendor in China’s Guangdong province who died suddenly.

Hundreds of more cases were reportedly reported in the country, but officials concealed about the sickness for months, blaming “outside forces” for a “bioterrorist” strike.

The epidemic was reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) in February 2003. However, the Canadian security agencies had noticed and publicly reported the spread in China.

SARS, a viral respiratory infection caused by a coronavirus, killed 11% of those affected.

If China had not announced the flu’s presence, it may have killed tens of millions of people globally. SARS was very contagious, yet it did not spread through the air. In June 2003, just 8,469 instances were recorded.

While the globe has been dealing with the coronavirus epidemic for the past two years, many people still assume it started in China.

People who previously believed the outbreak started in a bat cave, including World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, now believe the consensus of covid originating in China’s Wuhan facility, according to the article.

A World Health Organization (WHO) advisory group’s early examination into the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus showed that the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan, China, had a significant role in the pandemic’s amplification.

At this moment, epidemiology and sequencing data imply that SARS-CoV-2 ancestor strains are zoonotic, with the closest genetically related viruses being beta coronaviruses discovered in Rhinolophus bats in China in 2013 (96.1 pc) and Laos in 2020. (96.8 pc).

Early studies revealed that the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan had a crucial early role in the pandemic’s amplification, with numerous cases first diagnosed in December 2019 having a relation to the market and environmental samples from the market testing positive for SARS-CoV-2. However, further research is required to fill many information gaps.

According to the opinion post, the Wuhan Institute of Virology is perhaps already genetically developing new “unrestricted bioweapons,” and that another pandemic from China is soon to attack us again.
