Odisha to reserve 15% MBBS seats for government school students

Odisha Government has announced a 15% reservation of MBBS seats for government high school students in medical and engineering colleges.

A notification issued by the skill development and technical education department recently stated that the government has granted a 15% reservation of seats in medical and engineering colleges of the state for the students who have passed their secondary (class X)  examination under the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) of Odisha and also completed their higher secondary (XII) examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) from any Odisha Government’s Higher Secondary School or Junior College.

The eligible students will get a reservation in all the medical colleges for medical courses including MBBS and other Medical and Paramedical courses. The eligible aspirants will also get the chance to compete under the unreserved seats and in case an adequate number of eligible students are not available for seats then such vacant seats will be filled by other students of respective categories, added the notification.
