No permission from MCI to Idukki medical college for MBBS admissions

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has denied permission to Idukki Medical college on 25September for admitting students. The letter sent by MCI to Medical college has mentioned about seven points as a reason for not giving permission to the Idukki Medical college for admissions. The medical college has deficiencies like residents (58%) , faculty(18%) clinical lab ,Bed occupancy (29.3%)  and radiological investigation.

In report board of governors has also mentioned about the condition of hospital building which is old and used as Medical college and no approach road to the hospital.

It was the last chance for the medical college for admitting MBBS students. The Medical Council of India (MCI)has not done any physical verification due to COVID-19.
