The date for the National Eligibility Common Entrance Test, or NEET 2022, is scheduled to be revealed soon. According to recent sources, the Medical Advisory Council has recommended that the examination be conducted in the third or fourth week of June. The National Testing Agency, which is in charge of the NEET UG exam, is expected to announce the exam date on nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in by March 10.
MAC has asked NTA to work on the schedule at its ‘convenience’, according to a council meeting held last week. The meeting included representatives from the Ministry of Education, who discussed probable dates for the medical entrance examination.
“The participants discussed the likely period for conducting the medical admission test this year and proposed NTA pick a date from the third or fourth week of June,” an official who attended the meeting stated. NTA’s schedule for the different entrance tests it plans to administer during the summer months was also revealed by the Ministry of Education.
It should be remembered that NTA will also be administering other undergraduate entrance exams. From April, JEE Main 2022 and CUCET (for admission to Central Universities such as JNU, DU, and others) will be held. NEET is by far the most popular examination held by the NTA, with almost 16 lakh students taking part each year.
NEET 2022: To be held on June 26 in a pen-and-paper format.
Officials in attendance at the conference affirmed that the examination’s paper pattern will not alter. NEET 2022 will be a pen-and-paper exam for undergraduate medical, dentistry, and other courses. According to the current arrangement, the exam would be held on a single day and in numerous languages.
The official notice will most likely be issued within a week or ten days. The notice will be published on the nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in official websites. Experts have already speculated that NEET 2022 could be held on June 23 or June 26.
“It is critical that the NEET UG test be held in late June or early July by the NTA. It is critical to return to a normal academic cycle now that everyone is learning to cope with the pandemic. The counselling procedure must start by September at the latest. And this is only conceivable if the results are announced in August,” said Mr. Jain, who has been involved in NEET preparation and coaching for more than a decade.
