NEET UG 2021: Education Minister replies to Rahul Gandhi’s tweet demanding postponement of NEET 2021 exam

NEET 2021, the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test, will be held on September 11 and 12 for both Postgraduate and Undergraduate students. As the demand for a delay of NEET 2021 grows in popularity on social media, many individuals have expressed their support or opposition. There are several well-known figures among them, such as Rahul Gandhi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Rahul Gandhi has advocated for the postponement of NEET 2021 on Twitter, citing students’ suffering as a fair cause. His tweet drew a number of responses, the most notable of which came from the Education Minister himself.

Rahul Gandhi’s tweet read, “GOI is blind to students’ distress. Postpone #NEET exam. Let them have a fair chance.”

Seeing this tweet, Education Minister went on to use some worldly references to address Gandhi and said that he was “no alibi to meddle into the schedule of examinations.” Education Minister further reasoned his argument saying that even Supreme Court has not entertained the plea to reschedule NEET 2021. This is because the Apex Court believed that a possible deferment of the exam can be unfair to a large number of students.

Education Minister’s tweet in response to Rahul Gandhi’s NEET 2021 postponement call read, “Even the Hon’ble Supreme Court has not entertained the plea to reschedule the #NEET examination citing the deferment as being unfair to a large number of students. What makes @RahulGandhi the ‘pseudo expert’ question the collective wisdom of the bench and actual experts?” Check the complete thread on NEET 2021 here.

NEET 2021 postponement continues to trend on social media. While there is no conclusion to the entire matter, voices continue to get raised demanding or refuting the postponement of the exam.
