Masturbating can lead to baldness?

You may already be aware that hair loss can be inherited (thanks, grandmother) or caused by hormone imbalances—but have you ever heard the one about masturbation causing hair loss?

There are a few online hypotheses and urban tales floating around. Some claim that because cum includes protein, ejaculation causes protein loss, which leads to hair loss. Others claim that masturbating increases the hormone DHT, which causes male-pattern baldness.

Because many of these notions revolve around men, you may be wondering if your man is on his way to becoming bald. Alternatively, you may be concerned that your alone sessions may harm your gorgeous head of hair.

Could masturbating actually cause hair loss?
“There is no scientific evidence that masturbating causes hair loss,” Gohara explains. “We know this because, let’s face it, there would be a lot of people wandering around bald.”
Also noteworthy? Sex and ejaculation in general have no harmful effects on the health of your hair. On the contrary, there are some that have been scientifically verified, such as stress alleviation, improved sleep, and enhanced happiness.

What is the true reason of hair loss?
“Hair loss is caused by a mix of genetics and environmental factors,” explains Joshua Zeichner, M.D., Mount Sinai Hospital’s head of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology. “Some things, like as your parents, are beyond your control.”

However, other elements, like as how you care your hair, are within your control, according to Zeichner. Tight ponytails and braids can cause root strain and lead to thinning hair. Hair breakage can be exacerbated by chemical straighteners and excessive heat (from style products).

Hormonal shifts, thyroid disorders, anaemia, vitamin insufficiency, autoimmune, certain drugs, and physiologic or emotional stresses are all causes that lead to hair loss.

In other words, it’s a lengthy list, but it excludes solitary activity.

So, to conclude: Masturbation does not damage your hair. Keep having fun, people!
