A 60-year-old Covid patient who was brought Indraprastha Apollo hospital last night and was in need of ICU bed, died due to unavailability of ICU bed.
Kin of the deceased allegedly vandalized the hospital emergency department and injured the hospital staff members on Tuesday morning, officials said.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the hospital personnel said, “She was given oxygen and first aid in the emergency department. The doctors had requested the family to take her to another hospital as there were no ICU beds available at Apollo and the patient was crashing.”
