J&J shots to be imported in India possibly by June-July

Pharma giant Johnson and Johnson’s single shot Covid-19 vaccine will expectedly arrive by June or July, 2021, reports ANI.

According to the report, the Secretary of Department of Biotechnology from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Renu Swarup told ANI, “The Johnson and Johnson vaccines are expected to be imported in India by June-July 2021. Johnson and Johnson is working closely with Biological E to facilitate the ongoing tech transfer to India.”

India said it would fast-track emergency approvals for Covid-19 vaccines authorized by Western countries and Japan, paving the way for possible imports of Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna shots.
