India reported 40,134 new Covid-19 cases and 422 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the latest provisional report by the Union Health Ministry. The tally of total positive cases has reached 3,16,95,958 while the overall death toll stands at 4,24,773.
India’s recovery rate now stands at 97.35 per cent. A total of 36,946 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,08,57,467 across the country.
According to the Health Ministry data, there are a total 4,13,718 active Covid-`19 cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, active cases increased by 2,766.
In the last 24 hours, 17,06,598 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. 47,22,23,639 doses of vaccine have been administered so far.
