The number of COVID-19 cases in India has decreased, with 1,569 new infections recorded in the previous 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.
On Monday, the nation recorded 2,202 new illnesses. With the most recent cases, India now has 16,400 active cases, accounting for 0.04 percent of all cases.
The country’s daily positivity rate is 0.44 percent.
In the previous 24 hours, 2,467 people recovered from COVID, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,25,84,710. The current recovery rate is 98.75 percent.
Meanwhile, COVID claimed the lives of 19 individuals, according to the Ministry on Tuesday.
COVID-19 vaccine coverage in India has surpassed 191.48 crores, with a total of 1,914,48,94,858 people immunised as part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
In terms of immunisation, 1,078,005 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine were provided.
According to the Health Ministry, India performed 3,57,484 COVID-19 tests in the previous 24 hours.
