India crossed 3000 mark with fresh COVID-19 cases

According to the union health ministry, the number of COVID-19 cases in India surged on Thursday, with 3,303 new cases documented in the previous 24 hours. 39 persons were slain within the same time period.

On Wednesday, the country registered 2,927 COVID-19 incidents. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the single-day surge of these new cases brings India’s coronavirus total to 4,30,68,799. Furthermore, the country’s death toll from the virus has grown to 5,23,693.

The capital city of Delhi accounted for 1367 of the new COVID-19 cases reported today, accounting for 58.61 percent of the total cases, followed by Maharashtra with 186 cases, while the other cases were reported in other states.

India has 16,980 active cases, accounting for 0.04 percent of all cases.

As the country grapples with the epidemic, the ministry statistics indicated that 2,563 recoveries from this virus were reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,25,28,126.

The daily positive rate is 0.66 percent, with 4,97,669 COVID-19 tests performed in the previous 24 hours. The weekly positive rate was likewise reported to be 0.61%.

So far, 188.40 crore vaccine doses have been delivered under the countrywide immunisation push for COVID-19.
