To combat Covid-19, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) encouraged all states on Thursday to maintain concentrating on the 5-pronged approach of Test-Track-Treat-Vaccination and Covid Appropriate Behavior. According to the letter, “We will do another mock drill to see the COVID-19 preparations. Mock drills will be done soon in all the states/UTs.”
According to a Health Ministry notice, more than 220.65 crore total doses of vaccinations have been provided across the country. “There has been no evidence of an increase in hospitalization. Precaution doses should be increased. Enhanced lab surveillance and testing of all severe acute respiratory Illness (Sari) cases needs to be done”, reads the statement.
The Ministry has also ordered states to guarantee that necessary medications and supplies for Influenza and Covid 19 are available in health institutions. Apart from that, states have been requested to guarantee that there are enough dedicated beds and health personnel.
