Let’s beat hair damage this monsoon! Here are 5 game changing tips

We are all in agreement that the monsoon season is pure bliss after suffering the harsh heat of summer. Although we have enjoyed getting wet in the rain throughout the monsoon season, it will soon be over. This has been the most challenging season for us to care for our hair.Traveling to a nearby hill station in the rain and frigid air is a pleasant experience. During the monsoon season, we frequently spend our leisurely weekends practising self-care and focusing on ways to better our bodies and skin. We not only ignore our haircare routine, but it typically ranks lower on the priority list.

As a result of growing air humidity and poor haircare habits, our hair gets frizzy, dry, loses its lustre, and develops dandruff and an itchy scalp. All of these symptoms point to hair breakage.
Okay, we’ve seen enough to know that this season makes our hair more prone to damage, but can’t we take precautions when the time comes? So, here are five ways to treat monsoon-related hair loss.

Here are the ways by which you can show some love to your Hair:

  • Apply a hair oil with Aloe Vera and Green Tea.

Do you remember your grandmother’s “nuska”? “Your hair is prepared for travel; simply add oil.” Making oiling a frequent component of your hair care routine will aid in hair preparation. Apply hair oil twice a week before shampooing to strengthen hair strands from the roots, reduce frizz, and prevent hair breakage. To heal the damage and make it smooth, silky, and bouncy, use a caring oil like Hair & Care, which contains plant-based extracts of Aloe Vera and Green Tea.

  • Once a week champi

A 15-minute champi, which is akin to a spa treatment and one of the best ways to mend damaged hair, may be very beneficial to the scalp. It improves the oil’s capacity to permeate the skin and distribute its active ingredients, hence increasing blood circulation and hair development.

  • Reduce the amount of hard water you use.

During the monsoon season, the quality of the water declines owing to the high concentration of minerals in hard water, such as calcium and magnesium, which coats the hair and inhibits moisture from penetrating, causing damage over time. Reduce the frequency with which you wash your hair since harsh water causes it to become dry and crinkly, resulting in severe hair loss. Another approach is to use a filter to remove the hard water and prevent further damage.

  • Towel-dry your hair is the best method.

Towel-dry your hair rather than blow-drying it, since this may cause it to become frizzy and dry. After washing, a microfibre towel is great for drying your hair. Instead of forcefully brushing your damp hair, softly compress it and wrap it into a turban for 15 minutes to keep your fashionable haircut.

  • Use the proper comb.

When you comb through knots after washing your hair, you risk causing substantial damage. Brushing your damp hair forcefully may trigger hair loss due to its fragility. Towel-dry your hair before using a wide-toothed comb, jade comb, or wooden comb, as these are gentler on your strands.
