Govt to spend Rs 900 crore on Covid-19 vaccine

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced Rs 900 crore grants to the Department of Biotechnology for COVID-19 vaccine.

Central government to spend Rs 900 crore for research and development of Covid-19 vaccine under Suraksha Mission “We are providing Rs 900 crore for research and development of COVID-19 vaccine. This is being provided for COVID-19 Suraksha Mission, purely for R&D but this money goes to the Department of Biotechnology for research purposes,” she said.
