Chandigarh – A man was arrested in Panchkula’s kot village he was allegedly treating patients without being qualified or having registered with relevant authorities. The name of the accused is Dr Subhash Vashisht , however, claimed that he is registered medical practitioner with a bachelor in Indigenous Medicine in Allopathy.
After receiving the complaints following the directions of the CMO, Panchkula and ADG, CID, Haryana launched the investigation against the doctors. The team when visited the accused’s clinic recovered a total of 21 types of allopathic medicines and other medical equipment and instruments during the investigation. The accused have been arrested and an FIR also filed against him under sections 15(2) 15(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act , 1956, for practicing an Allopathy doctor. According to the law the person who practices allopathy must has to be registered as Medical Practitioner with Indian Medical Council or the State Medical Council of particular State/UT’s.
