Delhi government would award Rs 1 crore each to families of 14 Covid Warriors who died

The Delhi Government would provide ex-gratia payments of Rs 1 crore to the families of 14 COVID warriors who died while helping patients and society during the COVID-induced epidemic. The decision was made during a meeting of the ministerial group on Friday, which was presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
“The COVID warriors of Delhi worked tirelessly during the epidemic and gave their lives to safeguard mankind and society without bothering about their own lives,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said at the meeting. The Delhi government applauds their courage.
No amount will compensate for the loss suffered by the families of the deceased COVID soldiers, but this sum will provide their families with the means to live a decent life. The government is there for the families of COVID fighters in their time of need. According to a press statement, Deputy Chief Minister said, “Thousands of COVID warriors, including physicians, medical professionals, support staff, and sanitation workers, laboured around the clock to combat this unprecedented epidemic, and many were killed in the process.”
“The decision was made under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal to offer all necessary support to the families of COVID soldiers in Delhi.” “The government is attempting to assist families get their lives back on track by providing an ex-gratia payment of Rs 1 crore. “CM Arvind Kejriwal would always stand with the families of these murdered COVID soldiers like a brother and son,” he went on to say.
Sisodia went on to say, “The Delhi government’s plan assures the families of COVID combatants that the government and society are always on their side.” It should be recalled that the government had sanctioned an ex-gratia payment of Rs 1 crore to the families of 59 slain COVID soldiers.
