Delhi recorded 116 new COVID instances

According to a bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Thursday, the national capital recorded 116 new COVID cases in the past 24 hours, with a case positive rate of 0.97 percent.

With this, the city’s active cases total 546. According to the news, 142 COVID patients recovered in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the city to 19,75,102 since the outbreak began.

During this time, three COVID patients died as a result of the infection. The city’s death toll has risen to 26,497.

In the previous 24 hours, as many as 24,713 people were vaccinated. The total number of doses provided in the city to date is 3,69,31,074.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs reported 6,422 new COVID cases in India in the previous 24 hours on Thursday.

India presently has 46,389 active cases, accounting for 0.10 percent of all cases.

The current recovery rate is 98.71 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 5,748 recoveries were made, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,39,41,840.

The country now has a daily positivity rate of 2.04%.

As part of the countrywide immunisation campaign, the Government of India has been supplying free COVID-19 vaccines to states and union territories. In the next phase of the COVID-19 immunisation programme, the Union Government would acquire and deliver (at no cost) to States and UTs 75% of the vaccines manufactured in the country by vaccine makers.
