According to Union Health Ministry statistics published on Monday, India recorded 11,451 new coronavirus infections, bringing the country’s overall tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,43,66,987, while active cases fell to 1,42,826, the lowest in 262 days. According to figures updated at 8 a.m., the death toll has risen to 4,61,057, including 266 new deaths.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.24 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.
So far, 108.47 crore vaccine doses have been given. In the last 24 hours, 23,84,906 doses were given.
