Covid case Update: India records 6,915 new cases

According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 6,915 new Covid-19 cases, less than 10,000 for the second day in a row, and 180 deaths in the last 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday. On Monday, 8,013 infections were reported across the country. The dead toll in India has now reached 5,14,023.

There are now 92,472 active cases in the country, accounting for 0.22 percent of the entire caseload. After 16,864 Covid-19 patients recovered on Tuesday, the overall number of recoveries surpassed 4.23 crore, or 4,23,24,550.
