Covid case Update: India logs 18,987 new cases, 20% rise since previous day

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) announced on Wednesday that India has registered 18,987 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which was 20% more than the previous day.

During the same period, 246 fatalities were reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,51,435.

Kerala had the most casualties, with 123 people dying in the last 24 hours, followed by Maharashtra, which had 49 deaths.

The overall number of Covid cases in India has risen to 3,40,20,730.

In the previous 24 hours, a total of 19,808 patients have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,33,62,709 across the country. India’s recovery rate was 98.07 percent as of Thursday morning.

In the previous 24 hours, India has delivered a total of 35,66,347 doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 96,82,20,997.

In the previous 24 hours, a total of 13,01,083 samples were examined.
