According to data published this morning by the Union Health Ministry, India recorded a single-day increase of 13,451 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s active caseload to 1,62,661. During the same time period, 585 deaths were reported as a result of the incident.
The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.19 per cent, highest since March 2020, the bulletin showed. With 14,021 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries in the country climbed to 3,35,97,339.
Across the country, 103.53 crore Covid vaccine doses have been administered so far.
