India has seen a decrease in COVID cases, with 13,615 new infections reported in last 24 hours

On Tuesday, the number of new COVID cases in India fell. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, it registered 13,615 illnesses in the past 24 hours, a drop of 3063 infections from Monday.

Active cases now reach 1,31,043 and account for 0.30 percent of all positive cases in the nation. The daily positivity rate is 3.23%, while the overall weekly positivity rate is 4.24 %. According to the Ministry, 13,265 COVID patients recovered in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 4,29,96,427 since the start of the epidemic. The current recovery rate is 98.50 percent.

During this time, up to 20 individuals died as a result of the infection. The country’s dead toll has risen to 5,25,474.

In the previous 24 hours, 4,21,292 COVID tests were done out of the 86.73 crore COVID tests completed in the country thus far.

In the previous 24 hours, 10,64,038 COVID vaccinations were provided as part of the countrywide immunisation campaign. So far, a total of 1,99,00,59,536 immunizations have been administered.

In the next phase of the COVID immunisation programme, the Union Government would acquire and deliver (at no cost) to States and UTs 75% of the vaccines manufactured in the country by vaccine makers.
