The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was told on Tuesday that 5,439 new cases had been reported throughout India in the previous 24 hours.
Active Covid Cases
India presently has 65,732 active cases, 0.15 percent of cases are active, and 98.66 percent of cases are recovered. 22,031 persons have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,38,25024, while 5,439 new cases have been reported.
In India, the statewide immunisation campaign has resulted in the administration of 212.17 crore vaccine doses, 26,36,224 of which were given in the previous day.
The weekly positivity rate is 2.64 percent, compared to the daily positivity rate of 1.70 percent.
3,20,418 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests carried out to 88.55 crore.
Abdulla Shahid, the president of the UN General Assembly, praised India’s aid to the Maldives during the COVID-19 epidemic on Monday, praising in particular the “Travel Bubble” that preserved the island’s economy.
