On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that free preventive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed at ‘Mohalla Clinics,’ urging all eligible individuals to be vaccinated.
The chief minister said that only 10 per cent of people have taken the precaution doses of coronavirus vaccines in Delhi. Individuals take the Precaution dosage after successfully administering both the first and second doses.
“According to the data, barely 10% of the people (who received the first dose) received the precaution dose,” Delhi CM remarked during a news conference in New Delhi.
“A total of 3.5 crore doses of the vaccine have been provided in Delhi, with 18.5 lakh people receiving the prophylactic dosage.” “A total of 1.81 crore people have received the first dosage, and 1.53 crore people have received both doses,” he added.

The chief minister highlighted the Delhi government’s ability to provide approximately 1 lakh covid-19 vaccine doses per day in both government and private hospitals, and revealed that the precaution doses are free of charge for all eligible citizens over the age of 18 who have completed the six-month second dose.
He further stated that vaccine doses might be obtained at the local Mohalla Clinics or government vaccination centres.
“I suggest that older persons receive their second and precautionary doses of Covid-19 since it can be lethal because they are often prone to other conditions like as diabetes and blood pressure,” Kejriwal stated.
He also promised to help the schools by organising a camp to provide the second dosage at their respective campuses.
“I urge youngsters aged 12 to 17 years old, as well as their parents, to obtain their child’s second dose of Covid-19 vaccination. I urge that the school officials contact the local district authorities; if they do, we can assist in organising a camp for giving the second dosage at your school “He said.
