CII Appreciates Govt. on Second Phase vaccine roll out

Statement on announcement of next phase of vaccination from Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry

We deeply appreciate the Government’s very timely action to roll out the vaccine to the next phase of beneficiaries. The expansion of the mission through Government and private facilities will greatly speed up vaccine delivery and thereby build confidence among all economic players. The fact that the Government would bear the cost of the vaccines in Government facilities is a bold decision and most heartening for the beneficiaries. We expect the strong economic growth trajectory to further build up in the coming months as a result of this fast-track, comprehensive vaccination process for all the sections of society.

Government has truly unfurled a strategic and well-thought agenda to ensure that vaccination is most effective. We hope that factories and offices too would be able to carry out vaccination for their employees and the wider community at the earliest possible with all protocols and regulations in place to further strengthen the recovery process. After all, vaccination is the best stimulus at this point in time.
