Chandigarh: Four persons including a woman have been arrested by the Haryana police for allegedly carrying 50,000 banned tablets that fall under the category of prohibited medicines.
The arrested have been identified as residents of Rajasthan and the police seized the contraband the accused were carrying in a car in Sirsa district.
A Haryana Police spokesperson said a police team, while patrolling, stopped a car near Ding Morh for checking. During the search, 50,000 tablets falling under the category of prohibited medicines were recovered.
The accused who have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act will be produced in the court and taken on remand, reports TOI.
