The number of COVID-19 cases in India fell somewhat on Monday, with as many as 16,167 new infections reported, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India detected 18,738 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. India presently has 1,35,510 active cases, accounting for 0.31 percent of all cases.
The current recovery rate is 98.50 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 15,549 people recovered from the virus, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,34,99,659.
According to government figures, India’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 5,26,730.
The daily positivity rate is 6.14 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is 4.64 percent.
So far, about 206.56 crore total vaccine doses have been delivered under the countrywide immunisation programme for COVID-19.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India has now delivered over 100 million precautionary doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed and said in a tweet, “This has been accomplished via teamwork. Over 10 crores (100 million) prophylactic dosages have been delivered in India. Ten crore individuals now have an added degree of security. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, the ‘Covid vaccine Amrit Mahotsav’ is in full swing, providing free prophylactic doses to all adults.”

This comes after the government began offering free preventive vaccinations to all people between the ages of 18 and 75 at government COVID immunisation centres as part of the Central Government’s 75-day booster push.
