According to data published by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India saw a decrease in the number of new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, with 12,751 cases detected in the previous 24 hours.
On Monday, India registered 16,167 COVID-19 cases. According to the Union Ministry, India’s active caseload is now 1,31,807 at a rate of 0.30 percent.
The Ministry also said that the COVID-19 death toll had risen to 5,26,772.
Furthermore, there were 16,412 additional Coronavirus recoveries in the previous 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,35,16,071.
Covid Positivity Rate of India
The daily positivity rate is 3.50 %, while the weekly positivity rate is 4.69 %.
In the previous 24 hours, 3,63,855 COVID-19 tests were performed. The government said that over 87.85 crore total tests had been done to date.
So far, about 206.88 crore total vaccine doses have been delivered under the countrywide immunisation programme for COVID-19.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India has now delivered over 100 million precautionary doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
In a tweet, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated, “This has been achieved via united efforts.” Over 10 crores (100 million) prophylactic dosages have been delivered in India. Ten crore individuals now have an added degree of security.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, the ‘Covid vaccine Amrit Mahotsav’ is in full swing, providing free prophylactic doses to all adults.”

This comes after the government began offering free preventive vaccinations to all people between the ages of 18 and 75 at government COVID immunisation centres as part of the Central Government’s 75-day booster push.
