According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday, India continues to see a drop in new COVID cases, with the country reporting 2,202 new infections in the past 24 hours.
The country’s daily optimism rating increased slightly from 0.61 percent on Sunday to 0.74 percent on Monday, but the weekly positivity rate fell from 0.62 percent yesterday to 0.59 percent today. With this, the country’s active cases reach 17,317, accounting for 0.04 percent of all cases.
In the previous 24 hours, 2,550 COVID patients recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,258,82,243.
The current rate of recovery is 98.74 percent.
According to the Ministry, 27 individuals died as a result of the infection during this time period. The country’s death toll has risen to 5,24,241.
In terms of COVID vaccination, 3,10,218 vaccine doses were delivered in the previous 24 hours. So far, the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has resulted in the administration of 1,913,373,34,314 vaccine injections.
So far, the country has tested 84.41 crore tests, with 2,97,242 tests done in the previous 24 hours.
