Amid growing COVID instances in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is having a video conference meeting with Chief Ministers to examine the health condition throughout the country.
The meeting also included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and officials from their respective ministries, in addition to the Prime Minister and top officials from the Prime Minister’s Office. According to reports, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan will make a presentation on the current condition of COVID, the scope of immunisation, particularly the booster push, and the trajectory of cases in certain states.
PM Modi has already met with Chief Ministers and even District Magistrates to better grasp the reality on the ground.
In the previous 24 hours, India registered 2,483 new COVID-19 cases. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare bulletin, the active caseload is 15,636, with a positive rate of 0.55 percent.
On Sunday’s Mann Ki Baat radio programme, Prime Minister Modi encouraged people to be on the lookout for COVID-19 throughout the festive season. To keep COVID at bay, he also urged them to wear masks and wash their hands at frequent intervals.
