COVID free Arunachal Pradesh
According to a senior health official, Arunachal Pradesh became a coronavirus-free state on Sunday, with the lone active COVID patient in Lohit district recovering from the disease.
Arunachal Pradesh, in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, became a COVID-19 free state after no new cases were reported. The COVID-19 caseload remained at 64,484, with a total of 64,188 recoveries, according to State Surveillance Officer Lobsang Jampa, according to news agency PTI.
He stated that no new cases had been reported in the previous 24 hours. The death toll in the state stood at 296 as no new fatalities from the infection were recorded during the period, according to the SSO.
According to Dr Dimong Padung, the state’s Immunisation Officer, over 16,58,536 people have been immunised with COVID vaccines.
Meanwhile, with 1,421 new coronavirus infections reported in a single day, India’s total COVID-19 case count increased to 4,30,19,453, while active cases fell to 16,187, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The death toll has risen to 5,21,004 with 149 new fatalities, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.75 percent.
In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has been reduced by 554 cases.
According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 0.23 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.27 percent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 6,20,251 COVID-19 tests were performed. India has conducted over 78.69 billion cumulative tests to date.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,248,82,262, with a case fatality rate of 1.21 percent.
The total number of doses administered in the country as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive has surpassed 183.20 crore.
